The children stood in a circle and each one told a sentence from their memory of the Bible story of Jesus' birth. We went around a couple of times until the whole story was told. Once the children has the sequence established. we created a word bank on the chalkboard. Then each child got to work trying to create sentences to retell the story in thier own words. After a meeting with their "editor', they copied the stories in neat handwriting and drew a nativity scene free hand. The pictures are terrific. As soon as I figure out how to scan the children's drawings, I will put them here with their stories.

Later three kings followed the star.
The three kings gave Jesus gifts of gold.
I enjoyed reading the stories and riddles! I was surfing the internet and "my heart skipped a beat" when I came across the blog of St. Peter's deaf class. Looking through the pictures and reading the stories brought back so many memories of when I had the pleasure of spending 3 weeks at your school in 2007 to be apart of you school and help build the playground! I will share this blog with everyone that was on the trip with me and this will stir up so many fond memories for all of us! I am trying to come up with ways to make it back to Belize and visit St. Peter's again.
